Lambeth Palace 2025

Lambeth Palace is the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, their family and two religious communities. It is the centre of their ministry, worship and hospitality.

As a working palace and a family home, Lambeth Palace is not open to the public on a daily basis. The Palace is currently closed for Tours.

Palace Tours

Lambeth Palace is not currently running a regular programme of tours. We are completing a volunteer recruitment drive and it is our intention to recommence regular tours in the near future..

We will announce when tours recommence on our website here and across our social media channels.

Library Tours

Tours of the Lambeth Palace Library are overseen by the library. Further details and scheduled tours can be found on their website here.

The tour will take you through the history of the library and its collections, as well as their journey to a brand new, purpose-built home for the books and documents cared for.

Palace Open Days

Held in the summer, our open days give visitors the opportunity to experience the Palace.

Funds raised from tickets, refreshments and activities are donated to charities to support their work.
