Guard Room
The Guard Room is one of our stunning historical halls dating back to the 14th century. It was originally used as the Palace’s Great Chamber where the Archbishop received honoured guests.
The Guard Room is available for private half-day, full-day and evening hire.

Great Hall
Built in 1663 by Archbishop William Juxon, the Great Hall is our foremost banqueting hall, and until recently housed one of the largest collections of manuscripts, books and documents as part of the Lambeth Palace Library.

State Drawing Room
The State Drawing Room is a beautiful reception space, overlooking the Palace Gardens, and regularly hosts standing receptions.
The State Drawing Room is available for private half-day, full-day and evening hire.

State Dining Room
Adjoining the State Drawing Room, the State Dining Room is used by the Archbishop to receive prominent visitors to the Palace, including royalty and world leaders.

Pink Drawing Room

Old Study

The Atrium
The Atrium at Lambeth Palace is a stunning modern space that seamlessly connects the historic and contemporary. Opened in 2000 by HM The King, Charles III, it offers a versatile setting perfect for receptions or networking events.
The glazed roofed courtyard was designed and built by Richard Griffith and Richard Scott. It houses a range of gifts and artefacts given to different Archbishops throughout the years.
When the Atrium was being built, various artefacts were discovered, including medieval roof and floor tiles, medieval pottery and an oyster shell from the 13th century.
The Atrium is available for private evening hire.

Lambeth Palace Gardens
Founded in 1197, Lambeth Palace garden is one of the oldest gardens in England. Covering just over 10 acres, the gardens benefit from an extraordinary micro-climate of central London, meaning planting can be unusual and adventurous!
The gardens are cared for organically without pesticides or weed killers, and Lambeth Palace's kitchen is uniquely placed to take advantage of the produce grown, cultivated, and harvested seasonally from the Palace grounds.
Within the gardens, the marquee at Lambeth Palace provides a stylish and versatile space surrounded by historic greenery.
